Fall 2019 MyStory Volunteer - Dennie

Dear UAlbany,

As a senior now, I feel I have grown exponentially. I’ve come closer to finding myself and what my interests are. I’ve become an independent thinker and though it can be a good thing at times, it can also be detrimental. I will dive more into this in my blog series.  I think being exposed to different experiences, stories, and perspectives is the most important thing you can do for yourself, your education, and your future.

The first program is on Monday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m, in Science Library Room 340. The topic of the evening: “Adjusting to a New Academic Culture: It’s a Different World.”

Established in March 2015, Project MyStory is a community building effort to help students better acclimate to UAlbany and to work more effectively toward their goals. We began in UAlbany’s Academic Support Center (ASC), where you will see many of the posters featured above. We are now co-housed in ASC and in the Center for International Education and Global Strategy (CIEGS).
